Objective:
Histopathological verification of MUT (multimodal ultrasound tomography) imaging results for multiple malignant lesions detected by MUT imaging
Project Management:

Technical Support: Dr. M Sofras, Dr E Groumbas
Objective:
Collaboration of several research fields in order to establish better and more personalized criteria for the stratification of patients with carotid artery disease. Thus, TAXINOMISIS aims to reduce unnecessary operations, refine medical treatment and open up new avenues for therapeutic intervention.

Objective:
This multidisciplinary collaboration involves six institutions, with Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) in Germany being the coordinator. Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PNET)are relative rare, heterogeneous tumors which lack risk stratification systems. Resection comprises the primary therapy, with most patients not being suitable candidates. This project aims to deliver a nanotechnology-based microfluidic (next generation) device that will aid in the early detection and follow-up of patients with PNET tumors.
