The Laboratory accepts a small number of postgraduate students for the preparation of doctoral theses in the various fields of its scientific activity. Most of these studies are directly related to basic and clinical translational research, molecular diagnostics, and the implementation of personalized patient care. The educational activities of the Laboratory are designed to provide postgraduate students with up-to-date scientific knowledge, hands-on training and research capability in areas ranging from basic sciences to translational research.
In addition, it offers the opportunity to undergraduate students from Greek Universities or to those participating in Erasmus and HelmSlc International student exchange programs to broaden the field of knowledge and become familiar with new cutting-edge methods and technologies,.
The educational activity of the Laboratory also extends to undergraduate students with the participation of its members as instructors in the context of the compulsory courses of Surgical Pathology I and II (6th and 8th semesters), Surgical Oncology (11th and 12th semester) and in the Laboratory Exercises of Biology I and II in Medical School, NKUA.
Members of the Laboratory also participate with presentations in the bibliographic briefings of the Department as well as with presentations in the Educational Programme for Residents in Surgery, as well as in the Post Graduate Program of΄“Surgical Oncology” that leads to a Master Degree.
