The Laboratory of Experimental Surgery is equipped to perform a broad spectrum of research methods in the fields of molecular, translational and cellular biology. The Laboratory has published numerous peer reviewed articles and is actively participating in several national and international consortiums covering various scientific fields. Its research activities aim to study the cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis of various types of cancer and clinical syndromes by applying basic science and translational research methods and molecular diagnostic techniques. All studies are conducted according to the applied Bioethics rules and programs are funded by accredited bodies such as Special Account for Research Grants NKUA, Greek Ministry of Health, GSRT, as well as European bodies via International collaborations).
